Microsoft

The Development House is internationally recognized by Microsoft for our innovative business model of linking the humanitarian sector with the commercial world of system solution excellence. A short film on TDHs work was produced by Voices for Innovation and The Trestle Group Foundation in partnership with Microsoft and was premiered at Microsoft Worldwide Partner conferences in Houston, TX (USA) and at their largest conference, Microsoft MGX, in Atlanta, GA (USA).TDH was selected by Microsoft for inclusion in their new global programme for ICT software development businesses, called BizSpark. BizSpark is designed to accelerate success for high-potential SMMEs by providing Software, Support and Visibility.

Microsoft also partners with TDH in their pioneering Skills for Employability initiative which provides for the burgeoning call centre market. The initiative (brain child of TDH, managing owner, Darlene Menzies) is currently providing Digital Literacy and Microsoft Certified Application Support training to 40 homeless/unemployed youth in Durban. The training is being funded by Microsoft.
